Data Visualization Standards
We believe in transparent data presentation. We strictly adhere to the following principles in all our publications:
- No truncated y-axes: Bar charts must always start at zero to avoid exaggerating variance.
- Inflation adjustment: All multi-year financial figures are adjusted to real-terms using CPI, unless explicitly labeled as nominal.
- Per-capita normalization: Geographic comparisons are always normalized per 100,000 residents to correct for population density skew (e.g. London vs. North East).
